When a dental nerves dies as a result of trauma (tooth decay, hit, grinding etc.), this is accompanied by inflammation in the root apices. This inflammation may impact on your health as a whole, not just your oral health. What is vital in this is that both the tooth and the root canals be disinfected up to the root apices. The canals cleaned are sealed using cement and rubber-like pins.

The tooth will then receive a filling for restabilisation. In order to achieve long-term stability fully ceramic partial crowns or regular crowns make for a suitable option.
